Ergos Sapphire Work Assessment System
This system allows testing of 29 different physical demands, including lifting, reaching, body postures, upper extremity strength and much more. The Sapphire System is fully computerized, equipped with automated features including full instructions from the computer, and easy to use touch screen that allows full interaction from the patient/client performing the activity. Assessments are also made by the Body Mechanix therapist to assist patients with cues for proper positioning, lifting, posture, and performance. Progressive programs can be used to customize a treatment plan for each individual.
The Sapphire System is not only used for treatment purposes, but will be used to provide other services to the community. With the increasing cost of health care for employees, preventative health care and the overall health and wellness of employees has become very important to many companies. This equipment has the capability to provide assessments for functional purposes, including assessing disability, injury, and functional status. This system allows the staff at Body Mechanix to obtain a fully objective assessment and evaluation of what an individual's functional capabilities are.
Pre-Employment Testing
Preventative health care, as well as wellness programs around the country provide individuals the opportunity to live their lives without pain and with minimal risk of injury to themselves or others around them. Using this system the staff at Body Mechanix can provide functional testing for companies on a pre-employment basis. This form of testing has become as common as drug screening in multiple locations for a large number of companies around the country. Testing and screening for these companies not only assists all individuals with decreasing their risk of injury, but assists with workman's compensation premiums by increasing days without injury for companies throughout industry and allows testing to determine when injured workers can safely return to work.
